FOR SO CAL VISITORS: THINGS TO DO BESIDES DISNEYLAND in november

* knotts berry farm
* sea world san diego,
*La jolla cove san diego,
* SAN diego zoo & balboa park (many museums)
* coronado island
*Crystal cove newport beach, also corona del mar (good snorkeling in certain areas)
* palos verdes (beaches,hiking,ocean view)
* beverly hills (sightseeing)
* big bear & lake arrowhead & other mountain areas above L.A (hiking ,views,etc)
*death valley & mount whitney (u cant hike mt whitney without a permit & shouldnt be done on a whim,but u can enjoy lone pine, & do a leisurely half-way day hike)
* malibu (many people dont know there are some great hikes as well as interesting beaches)
* trestles san onofre (esp for surfers)
*Many different hiking trails everywhere including waterfall near redlands ,
*coachella valley ( palm springs tram, indio, palm desert , etc frankly, theres not a lot to do in cv unless u love to golf or lay out by a pool, or hike)
* universal studios,
* hollywood/ highland area
* griffith observatory (also hiking there)
* griffith park & zoo
* catalina island
* many museums: incl getty,lacma,autry,hammer (warning,very leftist agenda @ hammer), annenberg photography ,the broad ,art museum pasadena, & the list goes on...

Further north:
* santa barbara (beach , hiking, zoo,pier,museums , channel islands)
* hearst castle (but the big sur drive may be closed)
*monterey bay ( pier,aquarium,great diving/ snorkeling but very cold w/o wetsuit, sea otters ,carmel, hiking near carmel, etc
*santa cruz
*san francisco
