A high-speed street race ended in a multi-vehicle
crash in Downey that sent one of the cars careening
into and killing a pedestrian, police said Monday.
The multi-vehicle collision near the intersection of
Bellflower Boulevard and Imperial Highway was
reported to police at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday, the
Downey Police Department stated in a news release.
